For a billing question (a charge, a refund, or a trial that converted unexpectedly), Apple handles all payment processing for PayeeKit Plus. You can review and manage a subscription any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device, and request a refund directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Frequently asked questions
Does PayeeKit file my report with Social Security?
No. PayeeKit is a recordkeeping tool. It helps you organize totals and build a report you review yourself, but you're always the one who submits anything to SSA, a court, or any other agency, through whatever channel they specify.
Where does my data actually live?
On your device and in your own private iCloud account, synced through Apple's CloudKit. There is no PayeeKit server. See the Privacy Policy for the full explanation.
Can I track more than one person?
The free tier supports one beneficiary. PayeeKit Plus removes that limit for unlimited beneficiaries, for anyone who is payee for more than one family member. See pricing details in the Terms of Use.
Can an agency or organization use PayeeKit for the people it serves?
No. PayeeKit is licensed for individual, non-commercial use by a family payee or guardian. It is not built or licensed for organizational representative payee use. The Terms of Use have the exact limits.
Is anything in the app legal or tax advice?
No. PayeeKit states facts and totals based on what you enter. It doesn't tell you what SSA will accept, doesn't interpret your situation, and isn't a substitute for advice from SSA itself or a qualified professional.
What if I lose my phone?
Your records live in your iCloud account as well as on the device. Signing in to a new iPhone with the same Apple Account and reinstalling PayeeKit restores everything. Regular exports (Settings → Export all records) are also worth keeping for the two-year record window SSA expects.
Request my state's guardian report format
PayeeKit's guardian module currently exports one generic annual guardian report layout: living arrangement, condition, services received, visit summary, major decisions, a continuation recommendation, and a financial summary pulled from your ledger. It's written to be usable as a starting point in any state, but it isn't formatted to match any specific state or county court's own form.
We'd like to add state-specific layouts over time. If your court requires a particular format, email support@payeekit.com with:
- Your state (and county, if the form is county-specific).
- The form name or number, if you have it (for example, from paperwork the court already sent you).
- A link to the form on your court or state judiciary website, if you have one handy.
We can only build a layout we can verify against the court's own published form, so a link or a form number speeds things up. We won't guess at a layout and label it with a real form number if we can't confirm it's accurate.
